Tomorrow
I’ll forget yesterday’s sunset tomorrow
It will be a pixelated mess of colours
Amongst a million other photos on my phone
I’ll forget the way the wind blew my hair
Out of my eyes as I looked down the mountain
At the valley I call home
I’ll forget the perfect snowflake
That landed on my nose this morning as I
Gazed into the sky and prayed for a storm
And I’ll forget the feeling of arriving home
A living room full of friends
Comfortable
Safe
Warm
I may forget these many small wonders
But I don’t believe I’ll ever lose them
Each is fleeting but beautiful
Small and yet so large to me
In the moment I have chosen
I will find the same home in new people every day
My cold nose pays tribute to the millions of snowflakes that may melt away
A calm breeze will balance out the gales that blew
And tomorrows sunset will be beautiful too.
